A retractable pergola is an aluminium structure whose roof, in fabric or louvres, extends or folds back. You keep the sky clear in fine weather and shelter from sun or light rain in one gesture.

When the sun beats down, extending the roof creates shade in seconds; folded, it clears the sky in the evening. A light fabric or one with a high protection rating reduces terrace heating.
