Glazing systems
Folding glass (accordion)
Accordion glazing is a system of glass panels that fold and unfold sideways.
Accordion glazing is a system of glass panels that fold and unfold sideways. Open, it frees almost the whole width; closed, it forms a bright enclosed space: it is the most common way to close a terrace with glazing.
How do you close a terrace with glazing?
Rails are fixed along the top and bottom of the opening and glass panels are installed that fold concertina-style to one side. The system opens wide in summer and closes against wind or rain. It suits terraces, balconies, sunrooms, restaurants and reception halls.
Glass, comfort and safety
Quality glass panels give good acoustic insulation and limit heat loss while keeping the view clear. Glass choice (toughened or laminated, clear or tinted) and profile depend on exposure and use.
